Everest Re Group, whose second quarter net income was US$190.9 million (around NZ$287.6 million at the time), is once again the bearer of good news.
The insurance group, headquartered in British island territory Bermuda, announced that its board of directors has declared a dividend of US$1.55 per share for all shareholders of record as of September 02.
According to Everest, the dividend is payable on or before September 16.
During the second quarter, the company paid US$61.9 million in common share dividends. So far this year, not including the newly announced dividend, Everest has paid US$125.2 million.
