Growing an insurance broking business is challenging as it is under normal circumstances, let alone at such a peculiar time filled with uncertainties and industry changes. That is why Insurance Business New Zealand, in its inaugural Fast Brokerages report, is recognising the firms that have accomplished this no small feat.

Among these notable businesses is Auckland-based Prestige Insurance Broker Services, which enjoyed growth in terms of gross written premium (62%), revenue (51%), and broker headcount (200%) during the considered period.

For Prestige managing director Rick Hao, the key to their success is “service, service, service”. He told Insurance Business: “We cater our service based on [clients’] needs. This definitely helped achieve our goals.

“Being client-focussed, our aim is always putting our clients’ needs as our top priority with regards to response time, claim service, and best value for money. When you have those things taken care of, clients will follow.”
