Lloyd's of London has re-appointed Bruce Carnegie-Brown for his third term as chairman, running from June 2022 until June 2025.

Since his appointment as Lloyd's chairman in 2017, Carnegie-Brown has set the corporation's strategic decision and overseen the market’s significant progress against its four strategic pillars: performance, digitalisation, culture, and purpose. Aside from being Lloyd's chairman, he is the chairman of car insurance app Cuvva and the Marylebone Cricket Club.

Lloyd's CEO John Neal said Carnegie-Brown's guidance and tenacity over the last five years had seen Lloyd's through some challenging times until it reached a strong position to build on the gains made in the recent years.

“I am delighted that Bruce and Lloyd's Council have agreed [on] this re-appointment for another term. It is a welcome affirmation from Bruce of his commitment to Lloyd's and will provide the leadership team with continuity as it delivers on Lloyd's strategy,” Neal said.

Commenting on his re-appointment and plans for Lloyd's, Carnegie-Brown said: “It has been a privilege to serve as Lloyd's chairman over the last five years, and I am honoured to be re-appointed. There remains a great deal that we still need to do across the market and corporation to build on the progress that we have made together in recent years, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue doing so.”
