Lockton, the world’s largest privately owned independent insurance broker, has appointed Andrzej Danyluk as head of international property in its wholesale property and casualty division. In his new role, Danyluk will be responsible for growing the international property portfolio of clients in collaboration with Lockton’s international offices and partners. He will be based in London and will report to Simon Scholfield, head of wholesale P&C.

Danyluk joins Lockton from Willis Towers Watson, where he led the international property team in Great Britain. He also spent four years at Jardine Lloyd Thompson, including a stint as head of the power and renewable energy broking team.

Lockton’s wholesale P&C business has grown exponentially in recent years. Danyluk’s appointment is the latest of several strategic senior wholesale hires in recent months, Lockton said.

“I am delighted with the addition of Andrzej,” Scholdfield said. “We are now perfectly positioned to take our international wholesale property growth to the next level. Strategically targeted people investments in our retail space across the globe during the last 18 months have enabled us to significantly accelerate our wholesale offering. Andrzej’s depth of experience will enhance and strengthen our client offering while supporting the team in continuing to challenge the market with new products and lateral placement solutions.”

“Lockton is known for the strength of its long-term relationships with clients and the quality of the client service it provides,” Danyluk said. “I am delighted to be joining the team during this exciting phase of significant international expansion to support our new and existing colleagues around the world in further developing and growing Lockton’s strengthening portfolio of international property clients in London.”
