After an excellent round of submissions from across the industry, Insurance Business can now reveal the winners of its Top Insurance Workplaces 2019.

Employers were assessed across a number of different measures including remuneration and training, diversity, access to technology, health and rewards schemes. They are categorised according to their size, with some deserving particular recognition for exceptional performance across key metrics.

The Top Insurance Workplaces 2019 are:

Apex Insurance

Delta Insurance

DUAL New Zealand

Vercoe Insurance Brokers

Delta Insurance is particularly recognised for its strength in diversity and training, with 94.4% of staff (comprised of individuals across 10 different nationalities and a 50:50 male/female ratio) being happy with their remuneration and opportunities for professional development. It also boasts the accolade of having zero leavers during its five years in operation!

Zurich New Zealand

AIA/Sovereign, Suncorp and Zurich are particularly recognised for their diversity initiatives, with each also having earnt a nomination for Employer of the Year in the inaugural Women in Insurance Awards.

AA Insurance is noted for its remuneration structure, which provides year-on-year increases above the national rate of inflation.

IAG has excelled in the area of flexible working, having introduced MyFlex in November 2017 – a programme which allows adjusted start and finish times, job seconding and career breaks.
