Simfuni, a provider of insurance payment and management software, has announced that it has appointed Tim von Dadelszen (pictured) as its chief product officer, as it aims to strengthen its focus on product innovation and customer-centric digital solutions.

According to a news release, von Dadelszen brings a track record in insurtech leadership, most recently serving at Partners Life, where he led several key digital initiatives. Simfuni said that the appointment marks a significant step in its efforts to scale across Australasia and modernise how insurers manage operations and engage with customers.

The new product chief is known in the New Zealand insurance sector for co-founding LifeDirect, one of the country’s earliest online insurance platforms, and Quotemonster, a comparison tool for financial advisers. He also previously held the role of general manager of Trade Me Insurance. Across these ventures, von Dadelszen has focused on simplifying the insurance experience through technology.

In his new role at Simfuni, von Dadelszen will oversee product strategy and development, with an emphasis on solutions that improve efficiency and customer outcomes without requiring full-system replacements.

As we expand Simfuni’s reach and impact, Tim’s leadership will be instrumental in delivering elegant, scalable solutions that meet the real needs of insurers and their customers.”

Von Dadelszen said the opportunity to join Simfuni aligns with his long-held belief in user-focused design.
