The best female insurance leaders never let tough times dissuade them; instead, they are blazing a trail. 

Insurance Business New Zealand’s Elite Women 2023 recognizes 33 remarkable female insurance leaders leading the way and setting the bar for other women in the industry. 

The special report highlights the winners' outstanding professional achievements over the past 12 months, the initiatives and innovations, and contributions to the insurance industry.    

The awardees are breaking down barriers by pursuing networking and mentorship through formal and informal groups, diversity and inclusion efforts, and empowerment of female leaders.

Senior financial adviser Elle Wuthrich is boosting the ranks of female advisers in the industry through networking. She admits she has made many mistakes along the way but would freely help women navigate all that.  

According to Wuthrich, “it's quite a complicated industry, in a sense, and you can get taken advantage of with regards to remuneration, commissions, and ownership of clients."
