Asteron Life has announced the appointment of Kirsten Young (pictured above) as the new national manager of adviser distribution following a comprehensive review of the company's management structure to ensure its alignment with the evolving needs of the rapidly growing business.

With over 30 years of experience in the financial industry and a background in relationship management and coaching, Young aims to leverage her expertise to continue the growth trajectory of Asteron Life. Her focus remains on developing her team's talent and supporting the advancement of adviser businesses.

Before her tenure with the life insurer, Young also spent more than seven years at Sovereign as a business development manager.

“After supporting the lower half of the country for the past five years as Central and Southern Regional Manager, I am looking forward to meeting and forging new Adviser relationships in the Northern region and to bring the wider business development team together as one,” Young said.

“Kirsten has a strong leadership background within BNZ, ASB and Sovereign prior to joining Asteron Life five years ago. She is extremely passionate about the industry, which is a great asset to have in this role,” said Graham Hill, executive manager of life distribution at Asteron Life.

Elsewhere for the life insurer, Asteron Life recently highlighted its commitment to eligible customers in addressing their mental health needs through the Mental Health Disability Management Program.
