Christie Southam aims to contribute to the insurance industry through her passion for New Zealand’s rural communities, helping make risk management relatable and front of mind for farming businesses across the country. In practical terms, this means consulting with rural clients to identify, assess, manage and provide solutions for on-farm risk. In-depth discussions, both remotely and face to face, are crucial to delivering high-quality service and providing clients with the best-quality solutions.
Southam also works with high-claiming clients with risk management plans to assist rehabilitation back to profitable and sustainable parameters for both their business and FMG. Additionally, she supports FMG risk management in the rural community through attending and assisting with local field days, seminars and events. She also aims to discuss the bigger picture in terms of risk advice with FMG clients whilst reviewing their policies to create further value.
Further into the future, Southam looks to be known as the go-to person within the local rural community for risk advice, and accordingly step into more of a leadership role.
