ISACORP Limited which is responsible for providing insurance investigations, marine assessments, forensic advisory and debt recovery for over 15 insurance companies in Australia and New Zealand. It also has expanded into three other insurance related services including Debt Recovery (RecoverCorp), Marine Assessing (MarineCorp and Forensic Advisory (FASCorp). As Managing Director, John Borland is responsible for overseeing 7 licensed Professional Investigators across New Zealand. Borland is also the only dedicated external insurance investigator part of the Working for Fraud Group, attached to the ICNZ Insurance Crime Bureau.
Today, Borland is helping shape the industry by providing nationwide keynote seminars where he trains insurance professionals on insurance fraud – how to both identify and mitigate the risk. He’s constantly developing ISACORP to become an end-to-end service for claims handlers, across a variety of initiatives, including automated fraud risk detection and 24/7 support for clients. Additionally, Borland is continually conducting self-evaluations and professional development to improve the industry in the insurance fraud space, including developing strategic partnerships with the South African Insurance Crime Bureau and the USA Coalition Against Insurance Fraud.
