John Dawson joined Markel UK in February 2021 and his responsibilities include the care, financial lines and Connect new business underwriting teams. He is also a key member of the leadership team, tasked with supporting the business to advance its etrading capabilities and simplification projects.
 
John has a wealth of experience in the industry, from broking to customer service, then product development and running a broker network linked to a software house, before moving to head up UK distribution at Zurich and then etrade.

He is driven by a desire to make a difference and working in a business that wants to progress and recognises the value of its people.
