Kingfisher Insurance has signed an exclusive multi-year partnership with Greenlight Television to become UK presenting partner of Motorsport Mundial, the long-running motorsport magazine programme shown on ITV4 and streamed on ITVX.
The deal also includes a new digital series, "Crashing is Part of the Game," which Kingfisher and Greenlight will co-produce for YouTube. The series will profile motorsport participants and teams while making the case for specialist cover across the sport.
Motorsport Mundial has been in production for nearly three decades. Greenlight produces 50 23-minute editions a year, covering two- and four-wheel racing internationally with race coverage, features and behind-the-scenes material. The programme produced its 3,000th international edition in 2012, when it was being broadcast in more than 160 countries. Its UK audience runs from grassroots competitors to people working in the sector and professional teams.
"This partnership marks an important milestone for Kingfisher Insurance, and reflects our continued investment in the motorsport sector," said Gareth Butler, managing director of Kingfisher Insurance. "Our reputation has been built on supporting the motorsport community for many years, and we're delighted to be partnering with Greenlight, an organisation that shares our passion, ambition and vision for the future of the sport."
Rob Hurdman, director at Greenlight Television, said having a committed UK presenting partner would help the programme continue developing its coverage.
"Providing a regular television platform for motorsport matters. It gives championships, competitors, teams and the businesses supporting them valuable visibility, while allowing fans to discover forms of motorsport they might otherwise never encounter," he said.
The deal is the latest in a series of moves by Kingfisher to establish itself as the specialist motorsport broker of choice. Earlier this year, it renewed its headline sponsorship of the 2026 English Rally Championship through its Reis Motorsport Insurance brand, extending a long-running partnership with the British Trials and Rally Drivers Association. It also launched a Master Road Section Top-Up policy with Motorsport UK for grassroots events.
The Motorsport Mundial partnership adds television and digital reach to a strategy that had previously centred on championship sponsorship and product development. The format matters. A presenting partnership on an established programme, combined with a series built around participants' stories, lets a broker show it understands the risks competitors face rather than simply advertising to them. In a community where credibility builds slowly, that distinction carries weight.
Kingfisher's wider business spans motor trade, private client, classic cars and bikes, specialist commercial, motorsport and non-standard home, and the same approach runs through its classic car work. The broker has launched cover for members of the Morris Minor Owners Club and partnered with the Austin Healey Club.
Kingfisher is not alone in using sport to reach specialist audiences. Howden has built one of the most extensive sports partnership portfolios in UK broking, spanning the British and Irish Lions, Ascot Racecourse and the Lawn Tennis Association. In April 2025, it formalised a three-year partnership with the LTA, extending a relationship it had held as the association's official insurance broker for nearly two decades. As of 2026, Howden is also exclusive official insurance partner of the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
In motorcycling, Carole Nash signed as exclusive official insurance partner of the British Superbike Championship for the 2026 season.
The common thread is that specialist brokers serve communities rather than mass markets, and those communities have their own events, culture and media. Sponsorships and programme partnerships put a broker's name in front of the people most likely to need its products, at the moment they are most engaged. For Kingfisher, the Motorsport Mundial audience of competitors, team staff and sector professionals is exactly the market its motorsport team is trying to reach.
