It’s all change at Chubb Insurance for Alex Forrest as the former UK and Ireland package manager moves across to the role of life science manager for overseas general insurance.

In his new role, Forrest will be responsible for the management and profitable growth of Chubb’s international life science portfolio, working with local teams to ensure that the specialised underwriting requirements of insuring clinical trials, complex medical devices and products are understood and met. He will continue to be based in London, reporting to Bill Puleo, head of custom industry solutions, overseas general insurance, and his appointment is effective immediately.

Forrest has 14 years of insurance industry experience, 12 of which has been with Chubb’s life science practice in the UK and Ireland. He led the practice from 2012 to 2015 delivering new generation products and services, developing broker partnerships and working closely with industry associations. More recently, as UK and Ireland package manager, he managed the integration of products, underwriting and distribution strategies for this business line.

“It is a pleasure to welcome back Alex to our international life science team, a sector where our investment in underwriting, product development, and service means that our offering sets Chubb apart from competition,” said Puleo. “Alex, a proven leader, has the knowledge and the experience to meet the sector’s unique challenges, and will play a key role in further expanding our international presence and ensuring that our clients get the bespoke, comprehensive cover they need to grow with confidence.”
