Margo Young (pictured) has been promoted to chief compliance officer at Allianz Holdings Plc, the holding company which owns the principal insurance operations of Allianz SE in Great Britain.

Replacing Ann Alexander, who recently retired from the business, Young moves up from her deputy chief compliance officer role which most recently saw her support the transfer of Allianz’s home and personal motor business to LV=.

Young was also responsible for preparing the compliance function of Allianz for the successful integration of LV= General Insurance and the general insurance division of Legal & General.

“I am delighted that Margo has taken up this new appointment,” commented chief financial officer Fernley Dyson. “She has a wealth of experience in her field and a proven track record of delivering excellent results for our business. Her appointment demonstrates the investment we make in our people which allows us to promote from within.

“I would also like to thank Ann for the outstanding contribution she has made to our business over more than 25 years and wish her the very best for the future.”

Young came onboard Allianz in 2003 as part of the UK compliance team. During her time with the insurer she has completed a two-year secondment with law firm Pinsent Masons where she qualified as a solicitor.
