Antares Global Management Limited has unveiled its leadership team for the newly established commercial division, a move expected to strengthen the company’s operations across Syndicate 1274 and Bermuda-based Antares Re. The new division, helmed by Mark Graham as CEO, aims to propel growth with three divisional leaders appointed to oversee key segments of the business, a news release highlighted.

Martin Campbell will serve as head of the casualty FinPro division and chair of the Antares Underwriting Committee. In addition, he will assume the role of acting head of the reinsurance division. Pending regulatory and board approvals, Campbell is expected to join the Antares Managing Agency Limited (AMAL) Board as chief underwriting officer (CUO). In addition, he will take on the role of active underwriter for Syndicate 1274, subject to Lloyd’s approval.

Campbell joined Antares in 2019, bringing experience from roles at The Channel Syndicate and Newline Group. He was promoted to head of specialty in 2020 after leading the financial institutions team.

James Glynn has been named head of the marine division. Glynn, who joined Antares in 2011 as a specie underwriter, rose to class underwriter for specie business in 2017. Before joining Antares, he worked at Willis Towers Watson.

James Thomas will lead the newly established specialty division, which includes political and financial risks, terrorism, and accident and health. Thomas began his tenure at Antares in 2015 as a political and financial risks underwriter and became class underwriter in 2020. His career also includes experience at AIG.

Mark Graham expressed confidence in the leadership appointments, stating, “I am delighted to be able to announce the leadership structure that we have put in place for the new Antares commercial division. Martin, James and James are all talented individuals and under their leadership I look forward to continued strong performance on both the Syndicate and Reinsurance areas of the business in 2025. Congratulations to them all in taking on these new roles, which also reflect our growth and success as a business under the leadership of Mike van der Straaten.”
