Multinational insurance group Antares Global has appointed seasoned actuary Kevin Wenzel as chief financial officer.

Wenzel, whose experience spans more than three decades, most recently served as deputy CFO at Allianz Holdings Plc – the holding company that owns Allianz SE’s principal insurance operations in Great Britain. His previous roles include finance chief for LV= General Insurance.

“I am excited to be joining Antares at an innovative time for the business and look forward to working with Mike van der Straaten and the talented team he has bought together,” Wenzel said in an emailed release.

Last February, the enterprise promoted two leaders to global chief risk officer and global chief operating officer as part of strategic plans to provide further underwriting and related services to the UK domestic and international markets.

“It’s genuinely a pleasure to welcome Kevin Wenzel to Antares,” van der Straaten commented. “Kevin has amassed deep expertise during his distinguished career, with a strong finance and actuarial background and having successfully implemented several data science solutions.
