With John Taylor set to depart the business, the Lloyd’s platform of QIC Global, Antares, has named a new head of specialty at Antares Syndicate 1274.

Reporting to active underwriter Alexander Craggs, Martin Campbell, who had been head of financial institutions at the firm since March last year, will now move into the role. He originally made the switch to the company from The Channel Syndicate, where he was head of financial lines and a founding partner.

“I am very much looking forward to taking on the role of head of specialty at Antares as the business embarks on the next stage of our strategic expansion,” he said. “Antares’ consistent dedication to excellence is exemplary in the Lloyd’s market and we see a number of key opportunities for specialty growth. I look forward to contributing to this next stage in the development of the business.”

CEO Joe Battle, meanwhile, noted that the company is strategically expanding its specialty offering.

“Martin has been instrumental to our growth in the financial institutions area and his wealth of experience in the Lloyd’s market and collaborative managerial approach ensures we continue to provide our clients with the effective, quality underwriting for which we are known,” he said. “I would also like to thank John for the great work he has done during his time here, and we wish him continued success in all his future endeavours.”
