Marcello Lombardini is joining ArgoGlobal Assicurazioni S.p.A. to grow its distribution network and nurture broker relationships.
The Argo Group International Holdings unit has appointed Lombardini as distribution and business development director as part of efforts to increase share of the Italian market and better serve the needs of clients.
“Since we became part of the Argo Group in March we have been building a team that will help us fulfil our ambitions to become a market-leading platform in our target business segments across Italy,” noted Giovanni Tucci, managing director at ArgoGlobal Assicurazioni.
The key arrival brings more than three decades of industry experience, which includes time spent at the likes of Willis Italia, Banca IFIS, and Zurich Group.
“Marcello’s appointment is fundamental to our strategy, and his breadth of experience and networks across the industry will reinforce our market positioning,” said Tucci.
