Underwriting manager Charlotte Wilson (pictured) has been promoted to global head of portfolio solutions at AXA XL, the property & casualty and specialty risk division of AXA.

Effective May 01, the appointment will see Wilson join the global strategic distribution team as part of the London-based role. She will be in charge of developing and executing the global strategy for portfolio solutions, an area that AXA XL said continues to be a key focus for the division.

“Charlotte is perfectly placed to advance AXA XL’s unique portfolio solutions globally, and I am delighted to welcome her to our global distribution team,” commented Philippe Gouraud, global head of strategic distribution at AXA XL.

“Her wealth of experience in underwriting and structuring portfolio solution transactions will enable us to partner with our brokers in streamlining the placement of homogenous risks through a whole range of portfolio underwriting approaches.”

Wilson’s 17 years in the industry consist of time spent at Sedgwick Insurance Brokers and Catlin Underwriting Agencies.

“Whether through binders, line slips, or contestable panels, AXA XL will be better positioned than ever to respond across our wide range of product offerings and global footprint,” added Gouraud.
