Ecclesiastical Insurance has formed a partnership with Towergate Care to expand its schemes proposition and provide property capacity for larger care home providers.

Towergate is a community broker that offers tailored insurance solutions for care homes. It has over 25 years of experience in the care sector and is recognised as the preferred insurance provider to Care England and the National Care Forum.

In an emailed news release announcing the partnership, Ecclesiastical underscored its schemes expansion and the larger goal of doubling the size of its business by 2026.

Earlier this year, the specialist insurer unveiled new schemes through partnerships with Brokerbility and managing general agent (MGA) iprism.

Schemes and facilities director Chris Withers (pictured) said Ecclesiastical’s new partnership with Towergate is “another example of how broad our appetite is within the schemes space.”

“The message is that we can provide solutions for brokers searching for a reliable insurer partner to help grow their schemes and are adaptable in the amount of delegated authority provided on a scheme-by-scheme basis,” he added.

Established in 1997, Towergate has offices across the UK and employs over 2,000 people. It is part of the Ardonagh Group, another Ecclesiastical partner.

“This new partnership in care expands upon the strong relationship Towergate already have with Ecclesiastical,” said Carolyn Baker-Mellor, trading director at Towergate. “I am pleased that we are now able to offer our clients yet another alternative insurance solution in a sector that can be challenging to give that choice to.”

“As a specialist broker, we work with insurers who share the same passion and understanding of the sectors we work in and Ecclesiastical demonstrates all of those values which make them an ideal insurer partnership for us and our clients. I am excited to see how we can work together to support the care sector.”
