Global broker Ed is making a “significant investment” in its property & casualty capabilities with the appointment of John Plummer as head of the division.
Plummer takes up the role of chairman of P&C with immediate effect, bringing over 30 years of industry experience to Ed.
Ed Specialty CEO Chris Bonard called Plummer a “highly regarded” P&C specialist and an “excellent” addition to the company’s senior team.
“He brings an exceptional track record and breadth of knowledge of our key growth markets that will be essential in developing and broadening our expertise,” Bonard said.
“His appointment marks a significant investment in our P&C capabilities and I am confident that his insight and counsel will be invaluable,” he added.
Plummer joins from
Howden, where he served as managing director for the North American property and casualty division. He was also the head of the direct and facultative team at Benfield Group and managing director at Fenchurch Group.
