International insurance broker Howden has welcomed three colleagues to its casualty practice – two in London and one in British overseas territory Bermuda.

According to Howden’s emailed release, the following came on board in May:

  • Chris Harris – divisional director for US liability; from Marsh
  • Fiona Woodcock – associate director for international liability; from BMS
  • Andrew Halls – property & casualty specialist in Bermuda; from Price Forbes

“Howden has a fantastic platform for clients to benefit from our multi-class, highly dedicated broking teams,” casualty managing director Mark Colgate said. “Chris, Fiona, and Andrew are exactly the sort of talent that we want to attract to enhance our casualty offering – high-calibre brokers with deep specialist knowledge.

“Both London and Bermuda have experienced significant growth thanks to an expansive market. With the casualty division’s ongoing success in collaborating with new producers in crucial global territories, these new hires will provide the additional leadership, experience, and specialist industry knowledge required to complement a growing team and service to a rapidly expanding client base.”

Elsewhere at Howden, the company was behind the successful binding of insurance coverage enabling the United Nations to proceed with its mission to avert one of the biggest man-made environmental disasters.
