Newman’s appointment to the LMA board is expected to provide strategic support as the association continues to enhance the Lloyd’s market’s global position. Kate Roy, Group COO of Canopius, has stepped down from the board.
Acrisure UK Broking has announced a trio of senior appointments aimed at bolstering its UK Retail expansion. This follows the company’s plans to rebrand its UK broking entities under the Acrisure name by 2025, with the aim of driving organic growth and increasing broker engagement.

In a further boost to the firm’s regional presence, Tom Brown has been appointed to lead the former Hine Insurance business, now under Jeff Hobson, regional director for the North and CEO of the Eleven Network. Brown, who previously served as broking director at Lothbury, is expected to bring valuable market knowledge to Acrisure’s northern operations.
Scott Feltham has also joined the southern management team under Sally Swann, regional director for the South, as private clients development director. Feltham, with over 20 years’ experience in high-net-worth and family office insurance, will focus on strengthening Acrisure’s offerings for clients in this space.
