Several major players in the insurance and reinsurance market have announced senior appointments across private equity and M&A advisory, cyber and financial lines underwriting, signalling continued investment in specialist expertise and advisory capabilities.
Gallagher has appointed Charles Amblard (pictured as senior adviser within the EMEA arm of its global multidisciplinary Private Equity and M&A practice (PEMA).
Amblard will focus on new client relationship development and expanding Gallagher's presence within Europe's private equity and M&A communities. He will join the company on June 1, having most recently served as head of private equity solutions and head of sales for PEMA Europe at Marsh.
Prior to joining Marsh in 2018, Amblard spent eight years at Aon, latterly as managing director of strategic advisors & transaction solutions.

Miller has appointed Lyndsey Bauer as strategic delivery lead, cyber, in a newly created role focused on developing a more cohesive approach to cyber as a risk factor across insurance portfolios.
Bauer joins from Price Forbes, where she was a managing director and product leader for cyber. Before that, she was a partner at Paragon International Brokers, responsible for developing and expanding Paragon’s cyber insurance practice, including product development, client advisory and negotiating placements.

"I'm delighted to take on a role that allows me to work across the cyber market while helping insurers and insureds understand cyber risk across multiple lines of business. Nexus Underwriting Limited has appointed Chris Bailey as head of regional underwriting development – financial lines.
Bailey brings more than 25 years of financial lines underwriting experience and a track record of building and mentoring high‑performing teams and developing broker relationships across the UK. His appointment will further strengthen Nexus’s UK management liability proposition.
Bailey will support Nexus’s continued financial lines expansion, developing a management liability proposition that complements Nexus’s professional indemnity and financial institutions specialisms.
