Jackson Lee Underwriting continues to expand its leisure insurance division with four newly launched niche solutions – static caravan, cycle, camera and fishing.

The new solutions are the firm’s second tranche of products in its leisure division suite following the launch of its travel and touring caravan insurance offering in October 2016.

The company said the products are an additional revenue stream for brokers as they are tailored for the different leisure interests of customers.

“We now offer choices for insurance brokers who may not have access to insurers in the leisure market,” said Graeme Hamilton, head of leisure insurance at Jackson Lee Underwriting.

“Brokers are having to search harder for competitive home and contents insurance and insuring niche items like cycles and fishing equipment under a basic policy is not always the best option,” Hamilton added. “Claims for these items may negatively affect already under pressure loss ratios leading to higher home and contents insurance premiums.”

All the new products will be available to brokers via the company’s bespoke secure online platform, ABEL. Simple question sets will allow brokers to present quotes in a speedy and customer-friendly manner.

Jackson Lee Underwriting will launch other products later this year to complement its existing leisure suite, which it sees as a growth area.
