Partners& has further enhanced its employee wellbeing and benefits business with an acquisition and a strategic partnership.

The company has acquired corporate benefits broker Direct Healthline Ltd in Royal Wootton Bassett. As part of the deal, the entire Direct Healthline team will join Partners& and will report to Partners& managing partner for wellbeing, engagement, and benefits Marcia Reid.

“From the day we first met Phil (Barton, Partners& CEO), we knew this was the right move for us, and the way the Partners& team has built trust and understanding has only reaffirmed that view,” said Direct Healthline director Richard Skeates. “Partners& has a great proposition for clients and a culture that resonates with ours. I speak for our whole team when I say we are looking forward to this next adventure and to great success in the future.”

Meanwhile, Partners& has also entered into a strategic partnership with advo. advo provides an outsourced payroll and HR service as well as FCA regulated reviews, advice and recommendations across a range of employee benefits such as health, risk, wellbeing, and lifestyle. The partnership will enable Partners& to assume responsibility for servicing advo’s larger corporate clients.

“We believe Partners& to be a forward-thinking advisory business that shares many cultural similarities with us and possesses an array of capabilities that are in line with the longer-term requirements of larger, corporate clients,” said advo CEO Larry Bulmer. “We are confident that Partners& can deliver the advice and service they need and deserve today and in the years ahead.”

“We are very pleased to welcome clients and colleagues from Direct Healthline Ltd and advo Group to Partners&. It’s another great move, as we continue to build our employee benefits proposition,” commented Partners& CEO Phil Barton. “We ended 2021 on a high, not only winning the Broker Start Up Award and the Diversity and Inclusion Awards at the UK Broker Awards but also being named as a finalist in Corporate Adviser Awards for Best Health and Wellbeing Solution. We have always been of the firm belief that the health of a business will be reflected in the health and well-being of its employees.”

In December, Partners& acquired the employee benefits provider Health Matters. According to the broker, the move is part of its strategy to provide a “seamless insurance, employee benefits and risk management proposition to clients.”
