Former Brunel Professions director James Page has made the switch to the world’s largest privately owned insurance brokerage.

Joining Lockton’s professions team in Bristol, Page brings with him 15 years of specialist professional indemnity insurance experience and will focus on leading the operation and attracting new business. At Brunel Professions he was in charge of running the client servicing team.

“His experience in high-level negotiations with large and complex professional indemnity placements for British and international clients makes him a welcome addition to the growing Lockton Bristol team, which forms part of the wider professions practice in the UK,” explained Lockton – whose professional services team works with industry associations; 30 of the top 100 law firms in England and Wales; and 40% of the top 20 largest ranked engineering and construction companies.

Lockton partners Lorraine Boyle and Brian Boehmer described Page as “a perfect fit” for the broker’s ambitious professions team. Last month the firm snapped up former Zurich Insurance financial lines head Gail Cook to be part of its professional services team in Edinburgh.

“We are confident he will play a key role in expanding our portfolio of clients while delivering the Lockton standard of exceptional client service,” said Boyle and Boehmer, in a joint comment, about the latest appointment.

Meanwhile Page looks forward to further enriching and augmenting the company’s client and insurer relationships. “Their commitment to helping clients mitigate risk and deliver outstanding insurance solutions is unrivalled,” he said.
