One of the largest commercial insurers in the UK has expanded its risk management team with two new hires from leading global player Swiss Re.

Insurer RSA has appointed Kevin Demmon as specialist underwriting leader who will head a team of property underwriters focusing on UK domestic and global programmes.

Based in London, Demmon will report to UK risk managed business director Gary Long. The industry veteran joins RSA after most recently serving as senior underwriter at Swiss Re.

Also moving to RSA from Swiss Re is Rosie Dalton, who has been appointed property underwriter for UK domestic and global programmes.

Dalton, who will report to Demmon, had led global programmes across a number of leading broking houses. She also held various underwriting roles at AIG before joining Swiss Re.

“It is an exciting time for RSA and the calibre and capability of these new appointments will further strengthen our team,” Long said of the two new hires.

“I look forward to working with both Kevin and Rosie to continue to develop our customer and broker relationships and to realise our business plans,” he added.
