Brian Lewis, a senior underwriter – construction, at Probitas 1492 is donning his lycra for charity and planning to bike 500 miles in five days for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

Brian will be part of a team of 10 riders from the insurance industry tackling the challenging ‘end-to-end’ journey from Mizen to Malin in Ireland. They set off on June 5.

“We wanted to challenge ourselves and at the same time raise money for this great organisation which provides care and support for sufferers and their families as well as raising awareness about MND,” Brian told Insurance Business. “With training almost over it will soon be time for the real thing, but to date we have raised over 80% of our target of £20,000 and hope to exceed this by the end of the ride.”

The team appreciates any help offered, so if you would like to show your support for the insurance team riding for this cause, please visit their JustGiving site, https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/simon-pendreich-M2M
