Miller has appointed Matthew Keeping as head of property and casualty. Keeping succeeds Mike Papworth and will report into Tim Norman, managing director, Miller UK.

Keeping has more than 20 years of experience, with extensive knowledge of P&C, specialty insurance and reinsurance. He was most recently head of distribution at Foresight. Prior to this, he worked at QBE North America and Willis, where he held several roles in the UK and North America during his 14-year tenure.

Papworth, Keeping’s predecessor, was recently appointed to the new dual role of managing director of Miller International and chairman of property and casualty, following the realignment of the business into two divisions – Miller UK and Miller International – to support UK and international growth.

“We’re delighted to be welcoming Matthew to the team,” Norman said. “His deep market relationships and significant experience across a number of key regions in both client-facing and leadership roles will be of great benefit to Miller as we continue to grow. We’ve started 2023 at pace and Matthew is the perfect person to take on this role as we continue to expand.”

“Miller’s independence, excellent reputation, and the broking skill of its people, provide an excellent platform for future growth,” Keeping said. “Miller’s values of working as one team and acting with integrity are a great fit for my own ethos, and I’m excited to get started and deliver for our clients.”
