Aspen has announced a promotion for the company, with Bobby Bianconi being named as its new global head of cyber.
Bianconi, who has been with Aspen since 2016, brings over a decade of dedicated underwriting experience to his new position. He previously served as the head of US cyber within the company.
Based in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, Bianconi will lead Aspen’s global cyber underwriting team and will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting strategy and risk management capabilities. Additionally, he will maintain oversight of Aspen’s recently enhanced cyber risk platform, offering pre-incident services to primary insureds globally.
As an experienced stalwart, Bianconi holds designations as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (CIPP/US).
“Bobby is an industry veteran with deep expertise in cyber insurance products and the underlying fields of privacy, network security and technology liability and his appointment enhances Aspen’s market reputation as a leading cyber franchise. We look forward to the insights and depth of knowledge that Bobby will continue to bring in his elevated role,” Aspen FinPro EVP and portfolio director Justin Camara said.
Recently, the specialty insurance firm also announced its financials for the first half of the year, with Aspen reporting a robust performance underscored by growth in both operating and net income.
