AXIS Specialty UK Holdings Limited is GCHQ-approved.

In an announcement, the firm said it is now a GCHQ-certified training provider for its course “Understanding Cybersecurity and Insurance,” which is offered to brokers and client risk managers through the AXIS Cyber Centre of Excellence.

GCHQ, one of the three intelligence and security agencies in the UK, has appointed accreditation and exam institute APMG as the independent certification body for GCHQ-approved cybersecurity training courses in the country.

“A first step in mitigating cyber risk is education, and we are proud to be recognised as a trusted GCHQ-certified training provider that meets the rigorous cybersecurity training standards set by GCHQ,” commented AXIS global head of cyber Dan Trueman. “In addition to providing a range of cyber insurance products and a dedicated claims service, we offer cyber insurance training to help our clients and broker partners reduce the likelihood of loss and better understand the risk.

“Our cybersecurity training resources focus on helping companies understand cyber insurance and cyber risks, and are one of the many important tools and training programmes offered through our Cyber Centre of Excellence.”

The AXIS centre is a global resource that provides mentorship and consulting services and solutions to help both brokers and insureds.
