The city is set to hold its largest cyber risk management and prevention summit on November 16 during the Cyber Security Summit & Expo and co-located General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Conference at the London Business Design Centre.

During the summit, over 2,000 cyber security and data protection experts are expected to share their insights with more than 450 senior business leaders, policymakers, and cyber security pioneers. The event was organized in association with the government, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), and the National Crime Agency.

Meanwhile, the GDPR Conference will host several practical cyber preparedness seminars. These include Hackchat sessions to explore what can be learnt from hacking attacks, and a cyber exchange networking and resources hub sponsored by NCSC.

A recent report by Beazley and Munich Re revealed a surging demand for “holistic cyber cover” that addresses BI and supply chain risks. “We have seen a lot more high-profile cyber events in the last 12 months,” Beazley’s technology, media and business services UK focus group leader, Paul Bantick, told Insurance Business.

“I think that has led to a growing concern about the cyber threat among large organisations, and it really has become a boardroom-level, CEO, CFO issue,” Bantick added.
