Chubb has made some changes to its marine team as it targets rapid expansion.

The company has appointed Frank Chu as marine cargo underwriter for Chubb Global Markets – his role being to strengthen the capabilities of the cargo team within the unit, which comprises both the London market wholesale and specialty business. He is set to report to product head for cargo, David Kirk.

In addition, the company has made a host of recent hires. These include Emily Bryant, who is a yacht underwriter responsible for developing the Chubb Global Markets yacht portfolio; Ian Precious, a marine liability underwriter who will oversee that portfolio within CGM; and Jack Buchan, who becomes a hull underwriter who will also focus on underwriting brown water and specialist tonnage.

According to the head of marine for Chubb Global Markets, Mark Edmondson, all bring extensive knowledge and experience.
