Global insurance broker Marsh has welcomed Tim Payne as its new UK chairman of the financial and professional (FINPRO) practice and Michael Morgan as the head of professional liability, who will succeed Payne, effective immediately.

Both will be based in London and will report to Beth Thurston, who was appointed as the CEO of UK FINPRO on January 01.

In his role as UK chairman, Payne will work with the wider FINPRO leadership team to support clients tackling financial and professional risks. He has over 35 years of industry experience, starting with a career at Bowring Professional Indemnity.

Meanwhile, Morgan is tasked with advising global engineering clients on their risk exposures and insurance placement strategies as the new head of professional liability.

As the former head of global professions, Morgan advised international law firms, consultants and accountants on professional risks. He has over three decades of experience across financial lines, reinsurance and captive management and has been with Marsh since 2003.

“Our UK FINPRO team has an important role to play in supporting clients as they navigate the rapidly-evolving risk landscape and providing solutions for some of their most complex needs,” Thurston said. “Tim and Mike are highly-respected industry professionals and bring many years of experience to these roles, which will be of great benefit to our clients and colleagues alike.”
