Specialist (re)insurance broker Miller has appointed Laura McDonough as new head of professional and financial risks. In this new role, McDonough will focus on growing the firm’s professional and financial risk offerings while based in Miller’s London office.

McDonough’s appointment reflects the continued growth of the firm’s UK division, following the appointments of Chris Hardcastle as head of delegated authority and Matthew Keeping as head of P&C.

McDonough previously worked for 14 years in Lockton’s professional indemnity insurance practice. Before this, she also worked at both Miller and WTW. According to her LinkedIn page, she studied at the University of Leicester.

She will report to Miller UK managing director Tim Norman, who welcomed McDonough back to the firm in a news release.

“Her reputation in the market and deep expertise in Professional Indemnity insurance, particularly global construction and property related risks, will be a great asset to our growing team,” Norman said. “Our ability to attract talent such as Laura is testament to Miller’s culture and offering and I look forward to working with her as we continue to expand our business.”
