There’s a lot to be said for snapping up a proven talent – and that is exactly what insurtech Nimbla has done with its new chief commercial officer.

The insurance specialist – which claims to have reinvented trade credit cover for the 21st Century – has moved for Elizabeth Jenkin (pictured), from RFIB, the global Lloyd’s broker where she was managing director of corporate strategy. She brings with her 25 years’ worth of experience, having also been at Aon for 18 years and having started her career at Euler Hermes.

“I am delighted to welcome Elizabeth to Nimbla,” said CEO Flemming Bengsten. “Elizabeth is a highly regarded leader and accomplished executive with operational expertise and over two decades of deep experience in the industry. Elizabeth is the perfect fit to help drive Nimbla’s innovative products further into the market.”

Jenkin herself noted that she has been “impressed” by Nimbla, which, through API, brings insurance cover to SMEs to help protect them against late-paying and insolvent customers.

“They have a great product, a great culture and have built the foundations on which to supercharge growth. Insurtech has an ever-increasing part to play in the world of risk and I’m looking forward to help lead this progressive, cutting-edge business to scale globally,” she said.
