Zurich Financial Services Australia has announced a new appointment within its life and investments business.

Adam Crabbe, most recently a senior analyst for risk research with the Commonwealth Bank, joins Zurich life and investments team as risk strategy specialist, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience.

Crabbe, a CFP and life risk specialist qualified and a fellow of Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), was also a financial adviser, and practitioner and lecturer at Kaplan.

Nathan Taggart, Zurich’s head of sales for life risk, said Crabbe is the “ideal candidate” for Zurich to continue to grow its distribution footprint and educate its existing licensee and advice partners.

“With increasing regulation of the financial advice profession, we believe that adviser education has never been more important,” Taggart said. “In this role, Adam will be central in ensuring advisers are equipped with the best knowledge, tools, and resources to make the best decisions for their customers and their own businesses.”

"Adam joins at a time when we’re excited to be growing our business into a market leader, and we’re delighted to add such high-calibre talent to build on the strength of Zurich’s existing risk strategy team," said Kristine Brooks, chief distribution officer at Zurich life and investments.
