AXA’s board of directors has decided to appoint Irene Dorner as the new chairperson of the audit committee following the death of Stefan Lippe.

Dorner, a director of AXA and a member of the audit committee since April 2016, will remain chairwoman for the rest of the year.

Denis Duverne, chairman of the board at AXA, commented: “I would like to thank Irene Dorner, member of the audit committee for the last four years, who has agreed to take over Stefan Lippe’s position as chairwoman of the audit committee, and to propose the renewal of her mandate as director at our next shareholders’ meeting. I am glad that the board continues to benefit from her expertise and experience.”

Upon the recommendation of the compensation and governance committee, AXA’s board of directors has decided to propose the renewal of Dorner’s mandate as a member of the board of at the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting on June 30, 2020.
