nib Group has tapped the chief executive of a specialist Australian-based general insurer to take the helm at its travel insurance business.
Anna Gladman, current CEO of LFI Group, will become CEO of nib Travel, effective Sept. 02, bringing more than 20 years of financial services industry experience, with roles at major companies, including AMP, Suncorp, BT Financial, and GE Capital.
Gladman “has a wealth of experience in the underwriting and distribution of insurance product lines as well as a track record of delivering major transformation initiatives,” said David Kan, nib's group executive for international and new business. “We have big and bold plans to grow our travel insurance operations both here in Australia as well as globally and think she is the right leader to help deliver on this strategy.”
nib Travel (previously World Nomads Group) was acquired by nib in July 2015 and includes travel insurance brands such as TID, Worldnomads.com, SureSave, and nib Travel (which includes QBE Travel which nib acquired in May 2019).
