Pet Insurance Australia is now offering a GapOnly service to all existing and new clients, to support them during an expensive claims process.

PIA’s new “simple, quick, and easy” service reviews and calculates pet insurance claims while clients are still at the vet, allowing them to simply pay the gap, or the difference between the vet’s invoice and the claim benefit under their policy, before they go.

The GapOnly service comes with on-the-spot-claims processing, which means no paperwork. It is also easy to use – clients may request a pre-approval prior to treatment then have their claims processed ahead of pick-up, or claim on the spot.

“Particularly for larger claims, this will really make a huge difference to the stress of having a very sick or injured animal and having to find the money for the cost of the treatment, before they are able to claim,” said PIA’s Nadia Crighton. “With more and more vets taking up this service, it’s a real game changer in terms of ease for our clients.”

The GapOnly service comes with no extra cost to clients and is currently only available at participating vets.

“Policyholders can ask their current vet if they offer the service, or they can check for a vet that does by visiting the website and pressing the find vet button,” Crighton said.
