Paul Keating is stepping down from his role as managing director of CHU Underwriting Agencies and Body Corporate Brokers on 2 August after seven years.

Keating will not be replaced, however David Hampton, general manager of CHU Underwriting Agencies, while continuing in his role, will also assume responsibility for CHU’s overseas operations in the United Kingdom and UAE.

Alistair Gibney, Body Corporate Brokers NSW and Victoria manager, will take on the role of national manager, BCB and will, along with Hampton, report directly to Tim Plant, executive general manager corporate partners & specialty QBE Australia.

“Following a review of the CHU business we have recognised further efficiencies can be delivered through this change in structure,” said Plant. “Paul has been instrumental in driving growth through expanding the geographic footprint of both CHU and BCB. We all wish him well in the future.

Keating added: "It's been an honour and privilege to lead a terrific group of individuals, and I know between David, Alistair and their respective teams that both businesses are in good hands. We have worked hard, had a lot of fun, always put our customers first, and made a valuable contribution to the QBE group.”
