Steadfast Group has appointed Kim Matthews (pictured above) as member of its board of directors for New Zealand, succeeding Chris Hughes.

Matthews has more than 35 years of experience in insurance broking, having held various senior commercial broking roles across New Zealand. She joined Rothbury Insurance Brokers in 2007 and is currently the leader of business development. Her specialties are in the commercial, domestic and rural insurance lines.

In 2017, Matthews was named ANZIIF Broking Professional of the Year and appointed as a chartered insurance professional of the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand (IBANZ). A fellow of ANZIIF and IBANZ, she also holds a NZQA level 5, finance and financial services, IANZ and a diploma in business studies in insurance management from Massey University.

“I am delighted to have Kim Matthews join the Steadfast New Zealand board,” said Robert Kelly, managing director and CEO of Steadfast Group. “Kim’s broad operational and insurance experience, as well as her business leadership, will bring a considerate and strategic perspective to the board.”

“I am excited to be given the opportunity to work with such a great group of people who have a strong focus on the growth and development of the Steadfast network,” Matthews said.
