Kingfisher Insurance has announced an exclusive partnership between its classic vehicle insurance brand, Peter James Insurance, and the British Two Stroke Club.

The partnership introduces a new scheme, called “British Two Stroke Club Insurance”, which became available to club members on January 1.

Under the partnership, Kingfisher Insurance offers benefits tailored to the club’s members. These include exclusive rates for members; member-to-member cover; free agreed value and salvage retention in case of a total loss; UK and EU breakdown cover; tools and spare parts cover up to £3,000; free helmet and leathers cover; self-repair options; multi-bike insurance policies; legal expenses cover, and limited mileage discounts.

“Peter James Insurance has been at the heart of the historic motorcycle movement throughout our history, so we are thrilled to have launched this new partnership with the British Two Stroke Club,” commented Dave Youngs, partnerships director at Peter James Insurance. “We have worked closely with the club to create a product that meets club members’ needs and protects these machines for future enjoyment.”

Alan Snelling, committee member of the British Two Stroke Club, also expressed excitement about the partnership, saying that he expects it will add more value to club members.

The British Two Stroke Club was established in 1929, with renowned competition rider T.G. Meeten as one of its founding members. The club, which caters to enthusiasts of two-stroke machines, provides a platform for members to meet, support restoration efforts, ride and exhibit motorcycles, with a focus on preserving them for future generations.

Kingfisher Insurance said the latest partnership is a continuation of its “impressive” success in 2024 when it partnered with several other classic auto clubs. It collaborated with The MG Car Club to launch, “MG Car Club Insurance”, an insurance scheme that caters to younger classic car enthusiasts.

The company also partnered with The BMW Club last year to offer an exclusive insurance scheme for its members. It launched the “Royal Enfield Owners Club Insurance” scheme, in partnership with Royal Enfield Owners Club, specifically tailored for the club’s members.

Kingfisher Insurance, part of NSM Insurance Group, is a specialist insurance broker that provides a wide range of insurance products, including motor trade, private client, classic cars and bikes, specialist commercial, motorsport and non-standard home. It has built more than $1.6 billion in premium across more than 25 specialty insurance programs and brands in the US and the UK.
