Allianz Claims has created the new role of process and improvement manager and appointed Chantelle Carroll to the position.

Carroll will be in charge of a team responsible for “driving new technologies, innovation, and improving processes that foster personalised claims solutions,” Allianz said.

Currently leading the Process, Performance and Planning (PPP) team at Allianz Commercial and reporting to head of claims strategy and customer experience Margaret Scott, Carroll joined Allianz earlier this month from the Eden Motor Group. At Eden Motor Group, she served as business change manager. Carroll also held a number of claims management roles at insurance companies such as LV=, RSA and esure.

“The PPP team is instrumental in driving improvements to our processes and service, both internally and for our customers,” said Margaret Scott. “In her new role, Chantelle will help to drive innovation and change, supporting us to continue delivering excellent service.”

“This is an exciting role, and I am excited to join Allianz at this time of change,” commented Carroll on her appointment.

Carroll also mentioned in a release that there are many new insurance-related technologies available on the market – such as image recognition and machine learning. She then posed the question: How can they help better process claims and deliver “best-in-industry” service? To address this, Carroll said her team will focus on how to utilise technology to support Allianz’s claims handling in order to “deliver an exceptional customer journey.”

Last month, Allianz shuffled its commercial underwriting team with the appointment of Stuart Toal to the newly created role of head of mid-corporate. The company also promoted Helen Bancroft to succeed Toal in his previous position as casualty account manager.
