Allianz Holdings Plc – the holding firm which owns the principal insurance operations of Allianz SE in Great Britain – has brought in Christopher Twemlow (pictured) to serve as chief legal officer.

The former Lloyd’s of London solicitor made the switch from Euroclear, where he worked from 2007 and headed the international financial services group’s UK legal team for more than seven years.

In his new capacity, Twemlow will oversee the legal and company secretariat functions at Allianz Holdings as the chief legal officer acts as general counsel and company secretary.

“With a wealth of expertise in legal, regulatory, and governance matters, he is extremely well placed to lead our legal and company secretariat functions and is a welcome addition to the team,” commented chief financial officer Fernley Dyson, who believes it is a “really exciting time” to be joining the business.
