Allianz Insurance has created a new SME and corporate partnership structure in its business with a host of changes to its senior management team.

First to take up a new role is Samantha Watson, who was previously the managing director for Allianz Business Services Limited. She will now become the senior partnership manager, commercial and personal lines, and will work with partners on the creation of business models to deliver sustainable outcomes for the company’s partners and end clients.

Also stepping into a new role is Jason Potter who will take on the position of senior partnership development manager for commercial and personal lines. He will be responsible for new corporate partner relationships and business development, but will stay in charge of Allianz’s digital distribution.

In addition, Julie Tongue, who has been with the company since 2001 and has held roles including SME manager and senior account underwriter, will now become digital trading manager, developing Allianz’s digital trading capability for its commercial & personal division and managing its relationship with software houses and other providers.

Allianz’s director of SME and corporate partnerships, David Martin, is confident that the trio can deliver effective solutions for customers.

“They all have a breadth of expertise and I have every confidence that these new appointments will reinforce our commitment to growing our SME and corporate partner business, enabling us to meet our ambitious profitable growth targets,” he said.
