Aston Lark has made it three for three with its acquisition of Venture Insurance Brokers Ltd. (Venture) marking its third deal in three days. The Bristol-based brokerage was formed with the focus of offering traditional insurance advice to businesses and individuals. In the commercial insurance space, it advises on business risks across multiple sectors and assists with surveys, claims analysis, and health and safety.

Venture offers specialist expertise in professional indemnity insurance, property management, haulage, small business solutions and risk management, through the provision of advice in a variety of areas including business continuity planning and risk management programmes.

Commenting on the deal, group CEO of Aston Lark Peter Blanc noted that from the group’s first meeting with the brokerage’s team, it was impressed with their client-first approach and how well this fits into Aston Lark’s ethos. He said the group is excited about expanding its presence in the south-west following its previous acquisition of Brunel Professions, and about the growth opportunities it has in this area.

Blanc also revealed that, as with the group’s recent acquisition of Bruce Stevenson Insurance Brokers, the senior leadership team at Venture have chosen to invest part of their proceeds into Aston Lark as a commitment to its long-term ambitions.

Meanwhile, offering his perspective on the deal, Simon James (pictured), Venture’s MD said: “It is with great delight that we are able to announce that we are joining forces with Aston Lark. Peter Blanc and Stuart Rootham are traditional brokers, and this provides us with continuity and gives us the confidence that clients and staff will continue to be looked after in the same way for years to come.”
