Major brokerage Bluefin has internally promoted four new branch directors in the firm’s Penrith, Newcastle, Leeds and Ludlow offices.

Liz Coulthard, former account executive from the Kendal branch, has been appointed branch director for Penrith to replace outgoing Karen Maund.

Mark Taylor and Chris Lewis, account Executives at the Carlisle and Ludlow offices, will be the new branch directors in Newcastle and Ludlow respectively.

Gregory Markham has been promoted from development director to branch director for the Leeds retail office.

Bluefin managing director Kenny Hogg described the newly promoted executives as “dedicated and knowledgable.”

“They are taking over at great offices and with the support of our teams in the North and West Midlands, they can build and develop their branches further for the benefit of our clients,” Hogg said.

Coulthard, Taylor and Markham have each more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Lewis, meanwhile, joined Bluefin in 2008 and has worked his way up through various roles in the Ludlow branch.

Before joining Bluefin, Coulthard previously held underwriting roles at Provincial and Aviva while Markham worked at Aon, Hendersons and Towergate.

Commenting on their recent promotions, Coulthard vowed to continue a “high level of service” to clients while Taylor assured to lead the growth of his branch.

Markham said they can make a “big difference” in their new roles while Lewis aimed to develop the business in the local area and expand the firm’s agriculture insurance expertise across the region.
