Insurance broker Coversure has shut down its office in Morriston where customers were seemingly not informed about the closure.

The South Wales Evening Post reported that Coversure closed its office at Woodfield Street after just four years of operation.

According to the report, customers queued outside the office as they were not told earlier that it was being shut down.

"I passed there this morning and there were a lot of people outside. I was stuck in lights. I rang later about my policy and the phone line was dead,” a customer was quoted as saying in the report.

“I rang the head office and they said it was confidential. I think they should have had the decency to inform customers it was closing,” the customer added.

Without giving further details, a company spokesman confirmed to the South Wales Evening Post that the office has been closed.

The publication reported that there were only two employees in the office, where much of the work was done online.

Their work has been designated to a company franchise operating out of Forest Gate in London, the report said.

The Morriston office, which was opened by local businessman Jason Lawrence in January 2012, was one of the over 90 branches of the Coversure Insurance Services network in the UK.
